About

Why Finterest exists.

We started because we were students who felt like finance was not for us. Then we decided to build the thing we wish had existed.

Our story

The anti-gatekeeping finance club.

Finance feels exclusive for most students. The jargon, the internship requirements, the assumption that you already know what a DCF is — it all adds up to a message: this is not for you.

We built Finterest because we disagreed. Finance is not inherently complicated. It has been made to feel that way, and we think that is worth fixing.

We started with a small group of students who wanted to learn, and a commitment to never let finance feel like a secret club with a velvet rope. That principle has not changed.

Mission

To make finance open, practice-first, and people-powered for every student in Singapore.

Vision

A Singapore where no student feels locked out of finance because of where they came from or what they studied.

Belief

Finance should be learned through doing it alongside people — not through textbooks and gatekeepers.

Principle

Belonging before information. Community before content. People before programmes.

The team

The people building this.

We are students who believed in this enough to build it. Every member of the executive committee is here because they wanted Finterest to exist — and decided to make it happen.
