Who is Finterest for?
Finance is for everyone.
So is Finterest.
We are beginner-first and women-first, but genuinely inclusive. If you are curious about finance — whether that means banking, startups, investing, or just understanding your payslip — you belong here.
Members come from every faculty, every year group, and every level of finance knowledge. The only requirement is curiosity.

Board Hours
Founder & venture-building experiences
Build better startups, with people who know what to ask. Board Hours is Club Finterest's founder and venture-building pillar, creating practical spaces where student founders can pressure-test ideas, sharpen strategy, and get real feedback from VCs, operators, and experienced builders. This isn't about pitching perfectly — it's about learning how to think clearly, build intentionally, and become more investor-ready over time.
Full details →Foundation Sprints
Beginner-friendly finance crash courses
Finance crash courses that don't feel like crash landings. Foundation Sprints are short, beginner-friendly workshops that help students build practical finance skills from zero to one. Each sprint breaks down one topic into simple concepts, live examples, guided exercises, and clear next steps — no jargon overload, no passive lectures, no pretending everyone already knows what EBITDA is.
Full details →Career Capital Café
Career exploration through real conversations
Finance careers, minus the awkward networking energy. Career Capital Café is a recurring, small-group networking series giving students direct, low-pressure access to professionals across finance roles. Instead of large panels or mass networking, each session focuses on real conversations, honest career stories, and intentional relationship-building. No resume drops, no forced small talk, no pretending you already know your five-year plan.
Full details →Spark Socials
Community hangouts that actually feel fun
Because community should feel like people actually know each other. Spark Socials are Club Finterest's casual hangouts, dinners, hikes, and day trips designed to help members connect beyond workshops and career talk. Finance can be intense, networking can be awkward, and university can feel lonely even when everyone is busy — Spark Socials exist to make Club Finterest feel human.

Every expert started somewhere.
"Finterest was not just where I learned finance. It was where I found my people. I came in not knowing what a P&L was — I left with a VC internship lined up."
"I did not know where to start. After one Board Hours session I had three coffee chat invites. The community moves fast and pulls you along with it."
"As someone who felt behind everyone else, Foundation Sprints gave me a real base without the jargon. Zero judgment, all signal."
"The Career Capital Café changed how I think about my options. I walked in thinking I wanted banking. I walked out with a completely different plan — and a contact who made it happen."
"I was convinced finance was not for people like me. Finterest proved that wrong in the first session."
"Spark Socials sounds like the least important programme on paper. It was actually where I met my closest friends in Singapore."
